Walking for the Cure!

Please support me as I take an amazing journey in the fight to end
breast cancer! The Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure® is a 60-mile walk
over the course of three days. Net proceeds from the 3-Day for the Cure
are invested in breast cancer research and community programs.

My walking team is called the Connecticut Pink Warriors and we will be
participating in the Boston 3-day Walk for the Cure on July 22-24,
2011.

I am participating because I want my children and all my family and
friends to have every chance of surviving in the event of a cancer
diagnosis. This walk and the Race for the Cure both serve to highlight
the need for continued research, education, and media support. We all
can become complacent in our lives and these large conventions help to
remind us all that there are many people who struggle with the
diagnosis, treatment, and living their lives after the treatment.

Not only do these funds go to research, but they also fund programs
that help people find the resources for treatment, transportation,
emotional and spiritual support, and help them to live their lives to
the fullest after treatment.

I am a very grateful 3-year survivor of breast cancer and feel that
it's important to help others who suffer from this disease.

Thanks for all your support, knowing you all are behind me are very
inspiring!
