Save 2nd Base

Please support me as I take this amazing journey in the fight to end breast cancer AGAIN! The Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. Many may know that this will be the 2nd year I will be participating in this event.

The net proceeds will support breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment through Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund.

According to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, approximately 200,000 American women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year, and nearly 40,000 will die from the disease. That's why I'm walking so far AGAIN. To do something bold about breast cancer. I hope that you'll share this incredible adventure with me - by supporting me in my fundraising efforts.

I've agreed to raise at least $2,300 in donations. I've set my personal goal at $3,000. So I need your help. Would you please consider making a donation? Please keep in mind how far I'm walking - and how hard I'll have to train.

Your support can come in ways of donations, prayer, joining my team or coming out to support me in Oct 2010 in Tampa. Which ever way you chose to support, it is all welcome and appreciated.

My personal connection to this cause is in support of my Aunt Jane who is in remission and in memory of my dear friend Michele Austin and for all women everywhere.

Final notes:
Last year my participation shirt held names of those who were battling this cancer or have lost their battle. I want to continue to walk in their honor and/or memory. If you know someone that has lost the battle or is battling now, please send me their names so they can be added.
As I crossed the finish line last year 2008, a young lady I was walking for lost her battle. This is the very reason for this walk so that we do not lose another wonderful woman.
