Cancer Sucks!
On July 1st, 2009, my life was forever changed by three simple words: You have cancer. I remember it feeling like a tornado ripped through my whole being in an attempt to steal my livelihood at only age 29. From that moment on, everything began to happen so quickly. My days were filled with Dr.'s appointments, and tests were being run. Decisions about my future needed to be made in a matter of minutes with no time to waste.
Never, Never, Never, Give up!
To this date, so far I have had: six biopsies, one port placement, one egg retrieval (you don’t even want to know what the drama the 10 days leading into that was like), a lumpectomy, and 8 rounds of chemotherapy. I am now undergoing radiation. Throughout my treatment, I continued to work, go to music festivals, and I have even started back to school. There are many things cancer can’t take from me. My spirit and love for life are just two of them.
This is only my story. I am one, as in one in every seven women. I am walking for all the stories out there. Please help me in my journey to fight Breast Cancer.
