Yes, I'm doing it again

I signed up for the 2010 Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure™! I had such an incredible experience doing the Komen 3-Day for the Cure last year that I'm going back for more.

Without a cure, one person will die of breast cancer every 13 minutes in the United States. That's a pretty startling statistic. No one should have to face this disease, so in order to create a future without breast cancer, I walk in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure™.

This year I will walk in memory of my sister-in-law and two close friends who lost their battles, and I walk for every woman currently fighting this awful disease. This event isn't easy, but I promise you, I wouldn't be doing it if I didn't believe 100% that it was worth every muscle ache, weary night and training walk!

Walking 60 miles is hard, but I will keep walking until breast cancer is no longer a threat. I walk because all of our wives, sisters, mothers, aunties and dear friends deserve a lifetime. I walk so that my twin daughters, all of our daughters, eventually won’t have to and unlike those who have fallen victim to this terrible disease, I walk because I can.
