Family - it's your parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins... it's part of what makes you who you are. They're the people you can count on no matter what. A wonderful woman once said, "You have two kinds of family. There's the family you're related to by blood or marriage, and they're yours, for better or worse. Then, there's the family you choose...friends who you wouldn't know how to live without."

About the Team:

Michelle and Andrea met at dance class when they were 6. They instantly became friends and spent much time together. Amy met Andrea and Michelle at the Lamar High School Drill Team try-outs in 1990. For our three years in high school, we were inseparable. Here we are...20 years later, still the best of friends. Barbara married Andrea's brother Mike in 2002, becoming Andrea's sister-in-law by marriage but also her sister by choice. Kim, was one of the first people Amy met when she went to work for Jason's Deli in 1999. Kim was also one of Amy's donors 2008. Kim was so inspired by what she learned about the 3 Day and what she saw at the closing ceremonies that she joined Team Sisters By Choice in 2009. After 60 miles together, it's as if we've all known each other forever!

Michelle is married to the love of her life, Bobby, with whom she has two beautiful daughters, Megan (8) and Amanda (4). Andrea is also a mother - to 14-year-old Brandon. Andrea's Aunts Beverly and Judy are breast cancer survivors. Amy is married to her dream guy Pat, with whom she also has two beautiful daughters, Morgan (9) and Ella (5). Barbara's soul mate is Mike, with whom she has an awesome, spunky 7-year-old son, Zach. Kim is happily married to the love of her life, Jon, and they have two darling boys, Colin (7) and Ian (5).

As sisters, we are joining together to do our part and try to put an end to Breast Cancer. Join us on an amazing journey in the fight against breast cancer! The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. Net proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure and National Philanthropic Trust, funding important breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment.
