Please support me as I take an amazing journey in the fight against breast cancer! The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. The walk occurs all across the U.S., throughout the year. I will be walking August 7-9, 2009 in Chicago. Net proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure and National Philanthropic Trust, funding important breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment.
Why I Will Walk
In September 2008, my mother-in-law Sherry was diagnosed with breast cancer and has been undergoing various treatments over the last several months. I will be walking for her, but also for the one million women who are diagnosed with breast cancer worldwide every year. I feel very privileged to participate in an event that will fund research and innovative treatment into the future, with the hope that my friend's daughters (pictured above) will be adults in a time when breast cancer has a cure! I'm also totally thrilled to be walking alongside my own mother and some of her college friends (with their daughters)!
Thank you very much for your support!
