How do I become a member of the Commitment Club? The mission of the Susan G. Komen 3-Day™ is to raise as much money as we can in the fight against breast cancer; and the Commitment Club will recognize extraordinary fundraising in a single year, or year over year. There are two ways to qualify for the Commitment Club:
- Raise $5,000 or more for the 2013 Komen 3-Day season.
- Participate for two or more years between 2003-2012, raising the walker fundraising minimum each year, and be registered for the 2013 3-Day® season.
Once you achieve either of those milestones, you will automatically be notified by email in 1-2 business days that you are now a member of the Commitment Club. If you have met the criteria for the Commitment Club, but have not received an email confirmation and more than 2 business days have passed, please contact us at coaches@the3day.org or 800-996-3DAY.
How do I become a member of the Commitment+ Club? All registered 3-Day participants who raise $10,000 or more for the 2013 3-Day season are awarded membership into the Commitment+ Club.
Can crew members belong to the Commitment Club? Yes. Crew members who raise $5,000 or more for the 2013 3-Day® season will be awarded membership into the Commitment Club.
Crew members who are registered for a 2013 3-Day event and raised the walker fundraising minimum for two or more years between 2003-2012 will also be awarded membership into the Commitment Club. Crew members who raise $10,000 or more for the 2013 3-Day season will be eligible awarded membership into the Commitment+ Club.
If I walked in three 3-Day events in one year in the past, do I qualify? No. In order to join the Commitment Club you must walk in the 3-Day for three or more separate years. Your status is determined by how many years you’ve walked, not how many 3-Day events you walked in within each of those years.
If you are walking in three or more 3-Day events in 2013, you will automatically join the Commitment Club once you reach your fundraising minimum, because you will be raising more than $5,000 for the 2013 3-Day season.
