Throwing and hand building pottery

Throwing and hand building pottery with a stylized pink ribbon design.

I have had a pottery business since 1989. After signing up to do the Seattle 3-Day I decided that I would create mugs, tea bowls, coasters, magnets and various other hand made items with my own style of a pink ribbon on them.

The clay is white porcelain that is microwave and dishwasher safe. Since making hundreds of these items in the pink ribbon design I had requests for the ribbon to be red for AIDS, teal for ovarian cancer and lavender for testicular/misc cancer, with much success.

About half of my fundraising has come from my clay project. As a 2 year breast cancer survivor I am getting a tremendious positive reaction to my work, is a great stress releaver and fun.
