Komen Mission Webinar: Metastatic Breast Cancer

Susan G. Komen® will be hosting another mission webinar. Our goal is to provide additional insights into Komen mission priorities and how your dollars are being put to work.

This webinar will focus on metastatic breast cancer and one of the many research grants dedicated to finding better therapies for metastatic disease.

This webinar will be hosted by:

  • Chrissy Mathews, Senior Manager, the 3-Day®
  • David Vaught, Research Grants Manager for Komen
  • Dr. Priscilla Brastianos, M.D., Director of the Central Nervous System Metastasis program at Massachusetts General Hospital

The webinar will be 30 minutes long and you will have the opportunity to ask questions. Invite your friends, family and donors to participate and learn more about Komen’s research.

Driven by her passion to help patients like her mother and grandmother who both died of metastatic breast cancer (MBC), Dr. Priscilla Brastianos has dedicated her life to finding better therapies for metastatic disease. As a Komen postdoctoral fellow, she began her work to identify the genetic changes that are unique to breast cancer cells that spread to the brain. Today, as Director of the Central Nervous System Metastasis program at Massachusetts General Hospital, Dr. Brastianos is continuing this work to identify novel therapeutic targets for metastatic breast cancer. In addition, she is building a premier brain metastasis clinic that will serve patients from all over the country.
