Komen Mission Webinar: How Do Nurse Scientists and Nurse Inventors Do Breast Cancer Research Differently?

Komen Career Catalyst Grantee Dr. Rachel Walker, Ph.D., RN., is an Assistant Professor and Associate Director for the Center for Personalized Health Monitoring at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In 2018, she became the first nurse to be named an ‘Invention Ambassador’ by the American Association for the Advancement of Science. She will join us to discuss what makes nursing science unique, and how Susan G. Komen has supported her team to invent new technologies for and with diverse breast cancer survivors, including men with breast cancer. Please join us on Monday, August 20 at 12:30pm CT to hear more about Dr. Walker’s Komen research.
