In March, I was fortunate to attend, the first ever, ?Band of One Nashville Concert for the Cure? co-hosted by Trisha Yearwood and Susan G. Komen. We are a band of one! We are a united force!
There was a young woman, in her early 20s, with her mom in front of us. When Keith Urban came onstage, she held up a poster with ?I kicked breast cancer to kiss Keith Urban.? He saw the poster, invited her to the stage, and kissed her as tears were streaming down her mother?s face and everyone around us.
Trisha and Kristin Chenoweth, who both lost their mothers to breast cancer, ended the concert with For Good.
It well may be
That we will never meet again
In this lifetime
So much of me
Is made of what I learned from you
You'll be with me
Like a handprint on my heart
And now whatever way our stories end
I know you have rewritten mine
Thank you for your generous support. I carry each of your stories, loved ones, and angels in my heart. Please send me their names, as they will be with me while I?m training and November 14-16 on my 60-mile journey. I am committed to raising $10,000 this year with the hope, that in our lifetime, there will be a world without breast cancer.
